Helpful Companions, LLC is founded on the priciple that all people are equal in the sight of God and worthy of loving, kind and patient care.  In fact, our motto is "We help to make life easier".  We realize that when someone needs personal care it can be a difficult and frustrating time for that person.  Also, the needs of the person can put a lot of strain on family members that really want to help in many cases but cannot offer the time and attention that the family member or friend requires.  Helpful Companions, LLC was formed to help provide a loving, caring option freeing the client and the family caregivers to have a more normal life without resorting to leaving familiar and comfortable surroundings.

Helpful Companions, LLC is owned by two members, Vincent and Deborah DeLuca.  Debbie is a Registered Nurse and has over thirty years experience including experience as a Home Health Care Patient Assessment Nurse and years of experience as a charge nurse running Critical Care Units and Emergency Rooms.  While our services are non-medical in nature, our clients often do have medical conditions and Debbie is very helpful in assessing the way we best can help the client.

Vincent DeLuca is the President and a member of the company.  Vince has a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a Business Certificate from the University of Cincinnati.  He has over twenty years of management experience at the very successful banquet center called DeLuca's Place in the Park in Lorain.  Vince has served as Chairman of the Lorain County Task Force for the Homeless for several years.  He has had in-home experience as a  caseworker  for Children's Services in Cincinnati and has worked for our clients directly as required.   His varied work experiences and caring nature make him a particularly good fit for running this business.

Both Vince and Debbie are Born-Again Christians that have letters of recommendation by several pastors, as well as having numerous recommendations by previous clients.  A number of their clients have been repeat users of Helpful Companions, LLC services for multiple family members at different times.  Some clients have been with the company nearly the entire time they have been in business (five years ago) and are still active clients today.  Their main desire is to see a person whole and healed.  In fact, some of their clients have made remarkable recoveries they believe due to the prayer they and some of the staff have offered up to God in Jesus' name.  While Helpful Companions, LLC does not require that our staff be Christians, we do require they have a loving, caring, responsible nature and will put the patients' needs first.
